KAL AFROROCK
Chukwuka Nwaneri, known professionally as Kal Afrorock, is an IGBO American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born in Abia State land of Biafra, Southeastern side of Nigeria and raised in Washington D.C. Kal Afrorock is a direct descendent of the Ancient Igbo People of Biafra.
In 2003, His Sultry voice and melodic flow immediately got the attention of American Hiphop Legendary Biz Markie.
Throughout 2003, Kal Afrorock worked closely with Biz Markie on his “Weekend Warrior” album. Kal Afrorock wrote the hook and starred in the music video of Biz Markie’s single “Bounce,”
which also featured Elephant Man. Kal was also featured in the songs “Like a Dream,” “For the DjZ,” and “Turn Back the Hands of Time”.
In 2005, KAL AFROROCK signed a publishing deal with Windswept Holdings LLC for songwriting and music production.
In 2006, KAL AFROROCK began to develop himself as a solo artist. At the same time, he began to produce artists, including King Los (Signed by Sean Combs / RCA Records).
Kal Afrorock also worked closely with Will Smith and Omarr Rambert on producing music for K. Smith, Will Smith’s nephew.
In 2007, Kal Afrorock linked up with Grammy Award Winning Artist Mya. Kal Afrorock collaborated, produced and wrote several songs for Mya.
Years after working behind the scenes, Kal Afrorock is now, officially releasing his greatest solo work to date.
