Kal Afrorock, is an American-based recording artist, songwriter, and record producer with a diverse musical background, blending influences from R&B, Hip Hop, Rock, Reggae, Alternative, Jazz, Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Afro Infusion.
His music is noted for its sultry voice that melds melodic flows with a variety of genres, creating what is described as a unique fusion, often highlighted by his name, “Afrorock.”
Kal Afrorock early body of work and collaborations can be traced back to the late American Hip-Hop Legend Biz Markie “Weekend Warrior” album. The Album is consist of featuring Artists like DJ Jazzy, P. Diddy, Jeff, Elephant Man, Erick Sermon. King Los, Will Smith and Mya, are other notable figures that Kal produced and collaborated with in the past.
After concluding his live shows at Oxlade’s North America tour on October 22nd and 25th, 2024, Kal Afrorock went back to the studio and produced an album entitled ‘RANGE’. The album marks a significant moment in his career, showcasing a wide range of his musical style and versatility. Further quality projects from Kal Afrorock are in the works.

On Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, Kal Afrorock posted a video on his social media platform showcasing himself and King Kanja in a recording studio, captioning it “Me and my brother @KingKanja just made a SMASH.”
Notably, the video lacked audio, sparking speculation among viewers, with some attributing this to a deliberate attempt to prevent premature song leakage ahead of its official release date.

Who’s King Kanja?
Born in London to a Kenyan family and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, King Kanja broke out into the music industry after a record-breaking performance in 2009 on BET’s legendary “106 & Park.”
Throughout the years King Kanja has acquired a high level of music business IQ which caught attention of Mathew Knowles (Beyoncé and Solange’s father) prior to the beginning of his label imprint King Kanja Empire. KING KANJA has also been a longtime Sovereign Brands brand ambassador, which helped gain the recognition of fellow Black Bottle Boys Grammy-nominated Hip-Hop superstar Rick Ross.
